Welcome!
If you’re enrolled in this program: congratulations! It means you live an active lifestyle, take care of yourself, and understand the importance of prevention. Whether you love lifting weights, enjoy mountain biking, or simply want to stay healthy, more and more people are prioritizing their health—and that’s fantastic! Science continues to advance, and almost every day, we discover something new.
In ancient times, humans lived up to 40 years if they were lucky. Now, we can live up to 80 with a good quality of life.
Just 50 years ago, someone with type 2 diabetes had a limited life expectancy. Today, it’s a condition that can be managed and even reversed. We hear incredible news about people regaining mobility after serious accidents, and organ transplants are now a reality.
So, why are we getting sicker? It’s estimated that in less than 50 years, 75% of the U.S. population will be overweight or obese. Weight should never have been a measure of attractiveness. Thankfully, perspectives have shifted, and we know that a person’s worth isn’t defined by their weight. However, weight can be an important health indicator.
Cardiovascular diseases are still on the rise, and stress plays a significant role. On top of that, the sheer amount of information online can be overwhelming. If you search “the best exercise method” on the internet, you’ll get countless results. In fact, when we conducted this search while developing this course, we found 5,030,000 results.
Social media can be a helpful tool, but it can also be a double-edged sword. Someone might write a blog about the best ways to care for pets without being a veterinarian. Nowadays, anyone can share their experiences and what works for them, but that doesn’t mean it’s suitable for everyone.
That’s why we created this program, built on solid scientific evidence, to help you discover what works for you. Remember, not every diet or exercise routine is perfect for everyone. This program focuses on real solutions for an active lifestyle.
We’ll cover stress, nutrition, rest, supplements, and even how hormones impact your physical performance. You’ll also learn about concepts like optimal aging and biohacking.
Let’s get started! First, grab a notebook and jot down your health concerns. If you have a goal, like running a marathon or improving your sleep, write that down too. Additionally, start keeping track of your food, supplements, and water intake. If you follow a strict diet, you likely already have a plan. But if your diet isn’t very structured, it’s helpful to log your intake for the week.
In the next session, we’ll talk about the pillars of health. Let’s finally discover what they are—we’ll see you there!
